Bengaluru: Bengaluru city will witness a unique campaign on Saturday evening which is aimed at improving the strained relation between India and Pakistan. The Peace Now & Forever Campaign will be launched at Jayanagar of the city on Saturday.
According to noted artist John Devaraj, who is leading the initiative in Bengaluru, the main event will be launched in Hyderabad at Narayanguda YMCA. “‘In Bengaluru, the campaign will be launched at Jayanagar 4th Block, opposite the Bus stand at 3 pm. Over a hundred musicians, singers, artists, will make a flash mob experience to render the famous peace song AMAN KE HUM RAKHWALE SUB EK HAI! to open the campaign,” he explained.
“Continuation to this on Sunday between 9 am and 11 am, a Music Flashmob will be held at Cubbon Park. Participating teams include Agni, Beat Gurus, Treeoz, Reunite Gondwanaland, Indian Folk, Dr B R Ambedkar Students Association, GKVK, Jeevika: Jeetha Vimukthi Karnataka, The Naked Eye Motion pictures, Barefeet Black Beret Band and many other individuals Artists, Musicians,” he added.
“The Peace Now & Forever Campaign is conceived with the objective of addressing the deteriorating relations between Pakistan and India and to provide platforms to enable common people and civil society to demand peace and condemn attempts of war mongering in both countries. Networks and organizations in 22 of the 29 states of India and the four provinces of Pakistan have come forward to partner with the Peace Now Campaign,” he said.
