Bengaluru: Taking a cue from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Delhi government’s novel decision, henceforth all the restaurants and hotels of Bengaluru city will offer free washroom and toilet facility for the women and kids below the age of six.
This decision, which will have far reaching impact was taken in a meeting between BBMP officials and members of Bengaluru Hoteliers Association. The meeting was chaired by Sarfaraz Khan, Joint commissioner (Health/SWM), BBMP.
According to Khan, this decision will be implemented from Wednesday itself. “It a novel gesture by hotel and restaurant owners. Women and kids often face problem in this regard. If they were allowed to use the toilets and bathrooms available in the hotels for free of cost they will be benefited,” he said.
