Bangalore: The 2014 Dasara will have a green touch, as the chief guests are being invited for various programmes and are honoured with saplings.
Following the tradition, ZP President Pushpa Amarnath invited the newly appointed governor of Karnataka Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala on Tuesday September 2.
Amarnath was accompanied by District in-charge Minister V Srinivas Prasad, Rajeshwari new Mayor of Mysore, DC Shikha and G T Deve Gowda.
It was an initiative taken by the Mysore zilla panchayat president Pushpa Amarnath, who had requested the district in-charge minister to offer saplings to the chief guests to make the celebrations environment-friendly.
