TB Jayachandra lists cabinet decisions

Bangalore: The cabinet decided to extend the Govt committee period up to March 31, 2015 for Karnataka state Co-operative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank to get loan facilities to the extent of Rs 1,550 crore from Nabard here on August 28.

Addressing the reporters here on Thursday Law minister T B Jayachandra listed these cabinet decisions.

Other cabinet decisions include

1. Amendment to VTU Act seeking to empower pro-chancellor to take disciplinary action against erring officials.
2. Penalty of withholding pension of retired medical officer of the health department Dr S R Thimma Reddy in connection with Lokayukta trap case. He was caught taking a bribe of Rs 200.
3. Removal of deputy electrical inspector Chandrashekhar S Golasangi from service in connection with the Lokayuta traps case.
4. Dismissing deputy registrar of co-operative societies M Venkateshappa in connection with Lokyukta trap case.
5. Nod for revised estimate of Rs 844.15 crore for Bidar-Gulbarga new railway line construction.
6. Construction of RoB between Hubli-Miraj sections at a cost of Rs 19.38 crore.
7. Construction of RuB between Rajanakunte and Doddaballapur stations at a cost of Rs 38.21 crore.
8. Construction of a multi storey residential complex for government employees at Vasanth-nagar Bangalore, at a cost of Rs 11.50 crore.
9. Upgrading Hunasur Town Muncipal Council into City Muncipal Council and Gurumitakal and Nagamangala Town Panchayaths into Town Muncipal Councils.
10. The cabinet has decided not to revise the entire list of selection made in the 2010 Karnataka gezetted probations.

The Karnataka Administrative Tribunal has given specific order with respect to the selection of Siddeshwar. Difference in marks was found at the time of re-totaling. He is now holding a DySP rank and will be give the assistant commissioner’s post, Jayachandra added. The government cannot revise the entire list of selection for the sake of one case. The KPSC too, does not have powers to revise the list. However the government is ready to rectify if there are any specific cases, he said.
