Rohini’s husband wants HC restraint on CID report to stay

Bengaluru: Sudhir Reddy, husband of IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri, on Thursday filed objections to the interlocutory application (IA) of the State government in the High Court.

The government has filed an IA seeking to vacate the order that restrains it from disclosing the CID’s status report on investigation into the death of IAS officer D K Ravi, who was Sindhuri’s batchmate. The High Court had restrained the government from making public the probe details, while hearing Reddy’s petition.

Reddy has said that despite handing over the investigation of the case to the CBI, the State government was pressing for vacating the restraint on going public with the CID’s status report. It only shows that the government is keen on making the report public, he submitted.

Reddy says since a decision has been taken to transfer the case to CBI, it is necessary for the interim order to continue, to ensure effective investigation. Reddy has said that he is concerned about the protection of the right to privacy and dignity of himself and his wife. Justice S Abdul Nazeer adjourned the hearing to April 6.
