Bangalore: The city police have completed taking statements from Karthik Gowda, son of Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda, and are awaiting medical reports of both the complainant Mythriya and the accused, Karthik Gowda, for further investigation.
Sandalwood actress Mythriya Gowda had alleged that Karthik had kidnapped, raped and cheated the actress by promising to marry her. The actress had lodged a police complaint after she learnt from the media that Karthik was getting engaged to another woman.
After getting anticipatory bail last week, Karthik had presented himself before the RT Nagar police to record his statements. According to investigating officers, the police have finished recording the statements and are now awaiting medical reports from B.R. Ambedkar Medical College and Hospital to further investigate the case. “The investigation has a long way to go. We have only finished the first stage. Based on the medical report, we will continue collecting evidence in the case,” said T.R. Suresh, DCP (North East).
Meanwhile, a police notice from R.T. Nagar police station also has been sent to the Minister’s son for undergoing a voice test in Madivala Forensic Science Laboratory.
