Bangalore :In the Frazer Town sexual assault case, the police have identified Nasir’s accomplices present in his Skoda Fabia car during the time of the alleged sexual assault as Waseem (25), a car dealer from P&T Colony, KG Halli; Mohammed Ali (26), a real estate agent from Pillanna Garden; Athiq (24), a pre-owned car dealer from MDM Road in Frazer Town; and Imtiyaz (22), also a real estate agent from MM Road in Frazer Town. A special team has been formed to nab them, according to DCP N Sathish Kumar.
Reports say that Hyder Nasir,28, the main accused and owner of the Skoda Fabia car used in the alleged sexual assault incident on 22-year-old girl , appears to be a habitual offender. Apparently three years ago, he was involved in an incident under Cubbon Park police limits. He was accused of similarly misbehaving. His father is a small time politician close to the Bahujan Samaj Party.
It is learnt that in the meanwhile, friends of the victim, including Ranjith, have been receiving phone calls from various numbers requesting them to drop the case and negotiate a settlement.
Inspector of the Frazer Town station Rafeeq has been suspended for failure to record the complaint of the victim immediately and advising the victim to torn down the complaint. There was uproar in the assembly on the subject of the sexual assult. Education Minister R V Deshpande has said that a fair probe will be conducted and action will be taken against the offenders.
