Bangalore : Various organisations have given a call for a Bangalore bundh on July 31 in protest against the rising sexual crimes against women in the state.
Informing this to reporters here, Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Party leader Vatal Nagaraj said a protest march will also be taken out on July 31 from Town Hall to the CM’s residence via Mysore Bank Circle Road.
The 12 hour bundh will begin at 6 am and will end at6 pm, he said adding the bundh call has been supported by the government employees and Bar Association. Milk supply, ambulance and medical shops have been exempted from the bundh, he said.
Anantha Subbarao, President of KSRTC, BMTC Employees Association, Sa.Ra. Govindu, film producer, Shivaramegowda, Karnataka Rakshana Vedike President, Subba Reddy, President of Bangalore Bar Association and others were present at the press meet.
