Bengaluru: Aam Admi Party’s (AAP) Karnataka committee reiterated on Friday that the core idea of the party is to get rid of VIP culture and the party leaders have been faithfully following it.
The party came with the statement, refuting allegations that their party chief and Delhi Chief Minister Aravind Kejriwal is treated in a cozy ‘Nest’ at Jindal Hospital.
AAP Karnataka informed on record, Aravind Kejriwal was on a personal visit to Jindal Naturopathy Center. “The party asked the police to provide no security at the hospital, where Kejriwal is undergoing treatment for 10 days. The Chief Minister did not use state protocol car to travel from Airport to the hospital. Instead, he travelled in a private car,” party spokesperson said.
“AAP firmly believes that the country has to get rid of VIP culture and we have been practicing this diligently. The above sequence of events makes it amply clear that AAP Karnataka had refused all kinds of VIP treatment for Delhi Chief Minister and adhered to it in both letter and spirit,” party clarified.
