Auto review of ICML’s MUV ‘Extreme’

International Cars and Motors Ltd (ICML) showroom recently inaugurated in the city. Ballal Auto Agencies are the first who took ICML’s dealership in the state.

At its inauguration, the Dealerhship introduced to the public, ICML’s flagship Multi-Utility Vehicle (MUV) aptly named ‘Extreme’. This MUV can be used as a school van, ambulance and as a passenger vehicle too.

Its a true Multi Utility Vehicle, that unlike its other MUV’s in the segment, has several additional features.

‘Extreme’ comes in three models such as Extreme LD, SD and VD. Its basic model is LD, which has two variants, a 9 ot 10 seater non AC model and a 7 to 10 seater single AC Model.

Its other two variants SD and VD provide 7 to 9 seater and 6 plus one seating ease respectively.

Both the basic variants of LD have almost similar features except the AC, heater and power steering which are extra to the 9 to 10 seater. The duo have outside rearview mirror, remote fuel lid opening, trip odometer, brakes balanced with LCRV, cross car beam, rear high stop lamp, head lamp leveling device, rear door locks, side foot steps, decal.

Its medium variant SD has three rows of AC, 7 to 9 seater, all the features of LD, door arm rest, MP3 player, central locking, dual tone fabric interiors, and cladding.

Its third model is VD,  which besided the features of LD and SD versions, has added amenities, like adjustable indicators, six plus one seater, DVD player and LCD screen, dash board which can be used for mobile charging, dual side impact beam, rear guard, bull guard, and roof rail.

The ‘Extreme’ MUV will come with two engine types, CRD-Fi and DI.

CRD-Fi engine: turbo charged, intercooled 2.0 litre, 1994 CC, 120bhp@4000rpm, 285 Nm @1750-2500rpm, and gives mileage of 12.5 km/ltr.

DI: turbo charged intercooled 2L, 4 Cyl engine, 1994 CC, 100bhp@3600rpm, 220Nm@2000-2500rpm, gives mileage of 17 km/ltr.
