C segment Sedan Vios is soon to be launched in India by the Japanese Car maker Toyota. Instead of manufacturing more diesel versions, Toyota is all set to bring Hybrid version to the Indian market. Vios Sedan by Toyota was tested way back and now they are ready to test the same car with some changes added to it. They sound more confident this time.
The demand for diesel cars is diminishing each day due to many factors revolving round it. Ban of diesel vehicles in Delhi NCR is one of the main reasons. Toyota is therefore on the verge of manufacturing and introducing a car for the market which has powertrain which is hybrid in nature. The diesel vehicle which was about to be launched in Vios will no longer be launched. Toyota is giving more importance to the introduction of the hybrid engine. In order to maintain the health of the environment, Government is also offering plans to benefit such hybrid vehicles.
The hybrid segment of cars has many benefits from the Government. They are given privileges of the program named Fame. In fact, when the Odd even scheme was introduced in Delhi, these vehicles with hybrid engines were exempted of this rule. Toyota has been known for the quality of cars it manufactures and now with this idea in mind, the Japanese manufacturer has been pondering over the thought of bringing a revolution in C segments of car. This will eventually make buyers opt for petrol cars only. There is a plan of launching Corolla Altis too with hybrid engine and setting a standard for cars in the D segment.
