St. Philomena College Students Go Green

Puttur :The Eco Club of St. Philomena College took the initiative in showing a practical way of tilling the soil on 16th June, 2014 at Kanakamajalu , Sullia Taluk.

Around 51 students participated in this exercise. They were shown and asked to sow seeds in the field. For the recreational purpose of the student few competitions like Kesaru Gadde Ota, Kabbadi and Tug of War were conducted.

The convenor of the Eco club Mr. Nagraju  M,  Lecturer, Department of Botany, the co-convenors,  Ms. Rakshitha R.B , Lecturer, Department of Botany and Ms. Shashi Prabha, Lecturer, Department of Botany organised  this camp inorder to provide a practical knowledge and a rural exposure for the students.
